What is more important to you. the skill, or the character of a player? I ask this because more people seem to be upset about losing Peitz (all character and fight) than want to rely on Kolk (all skill). Santi is the finest natural player I have seen here in my four years (apart from maybe Marco), but he seems to be mistrusted. Is this really the case? Is it because of the history of the club, we are, afterall, Eisern. Would you rather have a team of Peitz's that lost but fought, or a team of Kolk's that were magical, but still lost?
I think the balance lies somewhere in the middle, but maybe someone who has been going longer than I (most of you, I presume) can enlighten me as to if this is specifically a Union thing, an Ossi thing, a German thing, or just a football fan thing? At Ipswich they would rather to lose with style because of our "traditional way of playing".
