very happy that the new pitch is in. It should make a huge difference
to the way Union can play if they can pass the ball without it bouncing
around everywhere. And it surely no coincidence that the best
performances have come away from home on good lawns!
And its better than the Italian solution of just painting it green.
Lazios striker Giuseppe Sculli just had an allergic reaction to the
paint on the stadio olimpico pitch that they had used to make it look
better for TV. A similar thing happened with Pele when he went to
the Cosmos, he thought that he'd got gangrene or something horrible,
but it turned out that it was just the green paint on his legs!
