Tips for Irish group coming in April

  • Hi,

A group of friends are coming from Dublin, Ireland at the end of April to see the game against Heidenheim. Will getting tickets be difficult? Any tips for what section to go to or advice in general. Looking forward to the game already.

    Vielen Dank,

    Gordo

  • Hi there,

Depends very much on whether there is anything to play for. If promotion is still up for grabs, all games will be sold out...of this there is little doubt. They also more than likely won't go on general sale in this case, only to members and season-ticket holders.

Also bear in mind for your planning that the kickoff itself hasn't been finalised yet. Could be Friday evening, Saturday afternoon, Sunday afternoon or Monday evening.

That said, for a casual fan hoping to get in the stadium, Heidenheim is one of your best chances of success. The away end has been made smaller in recent games if the away contingent hasn't been sold, leading to more tickets for Union fans. This may very well happen against Heidenheim. Against St. Pauli, Dresden, Braunschweig? Not so much.

At first - my english is very bad. Sorry for that!

If you see the game, let me know. It would be nice to meet you.

We (Eiserne Biker) want to drive through your country in june. So we can meet us again. ;)

  • Thanks guys. We know we might miss out but hopefully works out. There's 15 of us so we'd like to support the local club and take in the atmosphere. If you're coming to Dublin, be sure to go to a Bohemians game.
