Until 1966 the colours were blue-white (that's why the team was called the steel mechanics because most of the spectators worked at the factories of Oberschöneweide). The new colours of red-white are the colours of the official Berlin flag .

Yeah, the name " Schlosserjungs " - or steel mechanics has its origin because of the traditional working clothes.
In these days, the people who played for our club had these blue overalls. This was adapted
to the club's playing dress - so to say.The " Red and White " stands for Berlin , since we are a Berlin football club.
